Athletics Day

We have been doing athletics all term and have learned lots about the technique used for each event. We only have a few snaps of Hinuer School athletics day, but it was a great day and everyone gave it their best shot. Good luck to those who compete at inter-schools next week!

Book Track Classroom

If you haven't already had a go, you have got to check out Book Track Classroom!! It is a really neat website that has a load of books that you can read. But they aren't just any type of book- these books have music and sound effects, which helps brings the story to life, kind of like a movie!
What's even cooler is you can put in your very own writing in and add music and sound effects to make your writing come to life too!  I am so pleased to see you are all as excited about it as I am and lots of you have already published your own writing- keep it coming!
Check the website by getting your log in details from Miss Dagg and copying this address- www.booktrackclassroom.com into a Google Chrome or Safari window
Can't wait to see/ hear what you come up with :)

Excellence

The Value of the Week is Excellence...

We don't always have a blog post dedicated to the value of the week, but striving for excellence and being the best we can be is something to be encouraged and celebrated. Why would you only want to be average when you can be EXCELLENT!? Sometimes the only thing holding us back from excellence is our attitude, so make sure you have a good one!

How do you work towards excellence every day??

Senior Science Day- Physical World

We had another successful science day in the senior school, with Mr Cordery doing elastic band energy to make catapults, Mrs Warrender doing Static Electricity with Balloons, Mrs Clements doing how things move using inclined planes, wheels and screws and in my class we used levers to make a catapult, pulleys and wheel and axle to power little milk carton boats. (Sorry the video won't load so pictures will have to do this time!)

What I loved seeing was how people were thinking outside the box (or the fish bowl!) and thinking of other ways to solve problems and make things work. Science day really was a great way to show our value of the week, creativity!

What other ways do you show creativity??
