Making Sound Waves Visible!

Sound is all around us, but how is sound made? How does sound travel? What changes the pitch of sound? We were exploring questions like this during science this week. It is safe to say that making sound waves visible by making Oobleck dance was a highlight!

  4. the vibrations have a frequency that allows the sound to navigate through objects.
    in other words the sound makes it go BOOM!

  7. It looks like Kahikatea has been very busy with science. We did this experiment the next week but ours didnt dance as much as yours. we decided we should take a bit of the gloop out and then it really kicked in and started to really move.
